Pain, what is it?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain is a blockage in the acupuncture meridian. Needles at specific points increase blood circulation and energy.
This movement of blood and energy helps in a faster recovery.
"Distal acupuncture is better than local acupuncture in treating pain." . After all these years of experience, I have discovered that distal acupuncture; no matter what technique we use: Tan (balance), Tung, DNA (Robert Doane), Saam Technique, Yuan-Luo-Xi, is much more effective in treating pain than local acupuncture (inserting needles into the affected area) . The explanation could be that they do not give a good endocrine response as the affected area is blocked (asleep), on the contrary stimulating distal reflex areas, the response is immediate, stimulating the secretion of corticosteroids, endorphins, serotonin, melatonin .. .
